If you are in the Charlotte, NC, area, you might want to check out the Carolina Speed, an Arena Football team when they are playing. At QB, you'll see a hometown product and Mountain Brook Athletics alumnus.

Tribble Reese played Mtn. Brook Athletics football, baseball and basketball, from 1st grade through 6th grade, and went on to a successful sports career in high school and college, and now in the semi-pro ranks.

Patrick Sprague In high school, Reese was MVP of the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game in 2004 (he was 12-15 passing for 156 yards and two scores) and passed for 2,390 yards and 24 touchdowns and only four interceptions as a senior at MBHS. He also rushed for 690 yards with four scores as a senior; set the school single-season record for passing yards as a senior; was a two-time area player-of-the-week; was an All-state and All-metro as a senior, which helped earn him a Top 20 national ranking as a recruit as a dual threat QB. He received the Champions Unlimited High School Quarterback-of-the-Year Award as a senior.

As well, he helped the Spartan basketball team to the Final Four as a junior.

Tribble was offered football scholarships to a number of Division I schools, and chose to accept a scholarship to Clemson, where he lettered for the ACC powerhouse. He transferred to Charleston-Southern for his senior year, and re-wrote the record books as the Bucs starting QB. He threw for 2,043 yards and 23 TD's and on three occasions passed for 4 TD's in a single game.

He ays he has wonderful memories of playing sports in Mountain Brook, and participating in MBA leagues.

"Playing little league sports in Mtn. Brook was very meaningful to me because I got to play the game I love with the people I grew up with all of my life!" he said. "I also liked having coaches that were either my dad or my friends' dads who would take us out for dinner after games and other off the field activities."

He said his memories of his coaches (one of whom, Jamey McMahon, still coaches in MBA) and teammates are cherished memories and his experiences with MBA helped him succeed in sports and in life.
