BASEBALL & SOFTBALL GENERAL INFORMATION
     **** Practices for will tentatively start the week of Feb. 20 (T-Ball may or may not). Games for baseball & softball will begin before AEA; T-Ball games begin after. The time, date, and location for player evaluations will be available at registration. Evaluations for baseball are only for 1st graders that did not play fall baseball in 2011 and those elementary players that did not play with MBA last year. Player evaluations for softball are only for Kindergartners and those that did not play with MBA last year. Teams will be selected soon after player evaluations. Players will be notified as to team assignment by their coach. $20 late fee (per player) will be charged for those who register for baseball/softball/t-ball after Jan 21. There is no guarantee of being added to a team for those who register after Jan 21.
      BASEBALL (Boys grades 1-9) 1st and 2nd grade will play machine pitch. All other leagues will play player pitch. 7th-9th grades will again play in the prep league format. Please check the website for further details. Fee $145
      SOFTBALL (Girls grades K-7) Kindergarten will play coach pitch with a tee used after four pitches. 1s-3rd grade (8U) will play coach pitch. Player pitch will be in both the 3rd-5th grade league (10U) and the 5th-7th grade league (12U) or prep. Fee $145
      T-BALL (Boys and Girls in 4K or not in Kindergarten & Boys in Kindergarten) There will be separate leagues, one for 4K or not yet in kindergarten & one for kindergarten. The 4K league or not yet in kindergarten will be co-ed. The boys K league will play coach pitch with a tee after three pitches. Practices may start as early as the week of Feb. 20th. Most games will be scheduled on Saturdays at Crestline. An end of the season participation trophy is included. Fee $105
      **Effective September 1, 1994** Programs sponsored by MBA will be offered to only Mountain Brook residents whose children are eligible to attend Mountain Brook schools.
